Purpose of the association

The purpose of the a:primo association is the charitable and sustainable provision of early childhood development for socially disadvantaged children of pre-school age. The areas of activity include early childhood development in general and within the scope of support programmes. The association has an office in Winterthur and a branch in Lausanne to achieve its objective.

Fields of activity

With specific programmes for children aged between 1 and 6 a:primo provides effective secondary prevention for socially disadvantaged families. a:primo currently offers the home visit programme schritt:weise as well as the ping:pong programme (transition to school) to interested partner organisations in German-speaking Switzerland and French-speaking Switzerland.

Regions of activity

a:primo is in operation across Switzerland and in the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Foundation

The a:primo association was founded in 2006 in Winterthur.

In accordance with the order of 29 April 2010 by the Zurich cantonal tax office, the a:primo association is recognised as a charitable organisation and exempt from state tax, general community tax and direct federal tax.
